Privacy Policy for Pauzer

Last Updated: April 20, 2026

Introduction

Pauzer is operated by an individual developer (sole trader). This privacy policy explains how the Pauzer mobile app handles your data. I’ve written it to be straightforward — no dense legalese.

By using Pauzer, you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

Pauzer is developed and operated independently by a sole trader. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact: tomades1@gmail.com

What Data We Collect

Notification Data

Pauzer uses local notifications to alert you when your rest timers complete. To deliver these notifications, your device generates a local notification permission status — this is stored on your device only and is not transmitted to any server.

If you grant notification permissions, your device may generate a push notification token through the Expo notifications infrastructure. This token is used solely for delivering notifications related to your app experience and is not used for marketing or tracking purposes.

No Account or Personal Data

Pauzer does not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, location, payment information, contacts, or any other personal identifiers.

No Analytics or Tracking

Pauzer contains no analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or behavioral tracking tools. We do not track how you use the app.

How We Use Your Data

The only data processed by Pauzer relates to notifications:

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

Third-Party Services

Expo Notifications

Pauzer uses expo-notifications, a SDK developed by Expo (a service of 650 Industries, Inc.), to schedule and deliver local timer notifications on your device.

No other third-party services are integrated into Pauzer.

Data Retention

Pauzer does not store personal data on any server. All timer and preference data lives locally on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app.

Expo’s notification infrastructure may retain push tokens according to their own data retention policies — see Expo’s Privacy Policy for details.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Since Pauzer collects minimal data and stores nothing on our servers, most of these rights can be exercised by simply uninstalling the app. For any requests, contact tomades1@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new “Last Updated” date. For a personal testing app like Pauzer, significant changes are unlikely — but we’ll always be transparent about them.
